Mirage builds its hardwood in four different constructions, and because each one installs and performs a little differently, it helps to know them before you choose. Therefore, here is a quick look at the Mirage technologies we carry, from solid hardwood to the DIY-friendly Lock floor.

Autumn
About the Autumn collection: Autumn is Mirage’s Maple line inspired by the warmth and togetherness of a Canadian fall. Every board has a clean Smooth texture finished in a low-gloss DurAlive™ topcoat that softly diffuses light to show off Maple’s tight, even grain. The palette is seven options — six warm shades plus one natural tone: Apple Picking, a soft off-white; Natural, a blanched almond with a hint of golden warmth; Snuggle, a creamy beige cooled with gray; Harvest, a wheat-field beige; Hiking, a light brown with cool gray undertones; Hayride, a medium brown; and Bonfire, a deep chocolate brown with red-wine undertones. Each shade comes in two grades — Character, which keeps the knots, mineral streaks and color movement of natural wood, and Exclusive, a cleaner, more uniform look.
Autumn is offered in Straight planks (3-1/4″, 4-1/4″, 5″, 7″ and 7-3/4″) and in a 5″ Herringbone pattern. Boards come as 100% solid hardwood or in Mirage’s two three-layer engineered builds — TruBalance (3/4″) and TruBalance Lite (9/16″) — over a locally sourced SPF core that’s stable enough to install below, on, or above grade and over radiant heat. Maple lands around 1450 on the Janka scale, so it stands up well to busy, high-traffic rooms, and the hypoallergenic DurAlive™ finish carries an added antimicrobial agent that helps cut down on dust and allergens. Autumn is made in North America and backed by a structural lifetime limited warranty plus a 35-year residential finish wear-through warranty.
Bluum
About the Bluum collection: Bluum is Mirage’s flower-inspired engineered White Oak line, named for the way blooms turn to follow the light. Every board wears a smooth surface finished in a soft, low-gloss DurAlive™ topcoat that keeps the grain looking natural rather than glassy. The palette runs to six botanical tones — Natural, a golden beige with faint gray; Camellia, a pale beige with a soft gray cast; Iris, a light creamy beige; Tulip, a warmer golden brown; Petunia, an earthy medium brown; and Lotus, the deepest warm brown of the set. Each tone comes in two grades: Character, which keeps the knots, mineral streaks and color movement that make a floor feel lived-in, and Exclusive, a cleaner, more uniform look with fewer marks. Beyond straight planks in 5″, 7″ and 7-3/4″ widths, Bluum is also offered in 5″ Herringbone and Chevron for a more tailored, patterned install.
Underneath, the planks use Mirage’s three-layer engineered construction — TruBalance at 3/4″ and a slimmer TruBalance Lite at 9/16″ — built over a quarter-sawn SPF core that’s dimensionally stable enough to go below, on, or above grade and over radiant heat. The White Oak wear layer lands around 1360 on the Janka scale, so it stands up well to everyday traffic, and the DurAlive™ finish is hypoallergenic with an added antimicrobial agent that helps cut down on dust and allergens. Solid & Engineered Hardwood Floors
Mirage offers both solid and engineered hardwood floors. Because engineered hardwood is built from a real wood top layer over a stable, multi-ply core, it resists the expansion and contraction that humidity can cause; as a result, it performs beautifully in Kentucky and Southern Indiana homes, including basements and rooms over concrete. How to Care for Your Mirage Hardwood Floors
With a little routine care, your Mirage hardwood floors will stay beautiful for years. Therefore, here are the simple do’s and don’ts for keeping hardwood looking its best.
Do
- Sweep or vacuum regularly to lift dirt and grit before it scratches.
- Dry-mop with a neutral, hardwood-safe floor cleaner.
- Place walk-off mats at entrances to trap dirt and moisture.
- Put felt pads under furniture legs.
- Wipe up spills right away with a soft, dry cloth.
- Keep indoor humidity around 35–55% to prevent warping.
Don’t
- Never use a wet mop or a steam mop.
- Avoid harsh chemicals, ammonia, or abrasive cleaners.
- Skip oil-based wax or polish.
- Don’t drag heavy furniture across the floor.
- Don’t let pet nails grow too long.
- Keep floors out of constant direct sunlight to limit fading.
